SAFE SPACE

A safe space is a space where:

  • we look out for one another and respect each other’s limits.
  • we respect each other’s fetishes and kinks.
  • we foster camaraderie, and where there is room for everyone.
  • we fully respect each other’s discretion – what happens in the club stays in the club.
  • we leave our mobile phones in the cloakroom.
  • we respect your choice to practice safe sex.
  • we say no to drugs.

Our values

SLM Copenhagen’s foundation is based on two main core values that are reflected in everything we do:

  • Our club must be a safe meeting place
Our club and the purpose occurred to ensure a “safe space" and a meeting place where only men can meet and practice our fetish together across ages, countries, and preferences. There are SLM clubs in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia, so you will also be able to meet members from these countries in the club. As our A-membership card is valid cross the Nordic SLM club's your A-membership card will allow you entrance to the other clubs as well.
  • We enforce camaraderie/brotherhood
Our club has a strong focus on camaraderie/brotherhood, and our volunteers and members enforce this both at club nights and for the theme parties. You will find that you are always well received and that everyone is very aware that we respect each other and respect each other's boundaries and limits.

Themes and dress code

Because we are a fetish club, we have a dress code that you must follow when visiting the club. In this way, we ensure that both those who are in fetish and those who are not all keep the masculine style on which the club is based. We have different, and sometimes strict, dress codes for the different themes, which mainly take place on Saturday and Sunday. Check the calendar on the website, where you can see the current dress code for the individual theme.

Mobile phone and confidentiality

When visiting the club, leave your phone in the wardrobe or hand it to the bartenders. Under no circumstances is it allowed to take pictures, text messages or make calls on the club's premises. Should you need to make a call or similar, do it in the wardrobe. The reason for this is that we want to ensure that everyone can practice their fetishes and kinks without the risk of being photographed.

We respect that SLM is a safe space. It also means that what happens in SLM, stays in SLM. So, we don't gossip about what we've done in the club, and we don't 'out' others of our mates outside the club.

Safety in the club

During the club’s opening hours, the club is always staffed by a volunteer bouncher at the entrance and a team of volunteer bar staff, all of whom are thoroughly instructed in the location of the club’s emergency exits, fire safety equipment, and the club’s defibrillator. In addition, SLM Copenhagen regularly holds first aid courses for volunteers, should an accident occur. Therefore, always follow the volunteers’ instructions.

The bouncher at the entrance has the final say and has the right to refuse entry to or expel members who do not comply with the house rules or the dress code in force at any given time. We are all volunteers, and all decisions are made with the aim of giving all members the best possible experience at SLM Copenhagen. Therefore, listen to the volunteers and always respect any instructions or requests – this way, we can all have the best and safest experience.
